Zamboanga is Dine Philippines’ Kick-off Leg in 2014

DINE Philippines 2014, a restaurant management seminar series, is now on its fifth year.  It is brought to key provincial cities such as Davao, Bacolod, Cebu and Pampanga.  This year marks its first in Zamboanga City, and was held at the Astoria Regency Convention Center last July 31, 2014.  A morning session featured an Industry Forum, in cooperation with the Zamboanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation.  Participants from hotel and restaurant sector were able to have an intimate workshop with the facilitators.  The afternoon session catered to about 600 delegates and started off with a welcome speech from Dr. Milavel D. Nazario, president of DINE Zamboanga co-presentor, Zamboanga State College of Marine Science and Technology.  The keynote address, done by Assistant Secretary Art Boncato of the Department of Tourism, communicated the importance of Mindanao, specifically Zamboanga in the ASEAN Integration.  The seminar went on with presentations from Danny Pumarega, COO of Max’s Corner Bakery on Operations Excellece; from celebrity Chef Bruce Lim on Concept Innovation; from President of Negosentro.com. Homer Nievera on Digital Strategies to be Globally Competitive; and from Amor Maclang of GeiserMaclang Marketing Communications on Five Rules of Local Hospitality Branding.

DINE Philippines Restaurant Management Seminar Series is organized by Courage Asia, a management consulting firm founded in 2002 headed by Adolf Aran, Jr. DINE Philippines 2014 kicked off in Davao, followed by Zamboanga. Next stop will be in South Cotobato to cover the SOCSARGEN area in September.
