Joining bazaars is one of the great way of introducing your products to your target market. More often people come to the bazaar to look for things which they cannot find at regular malls. They are also looking for quality products at a cheaper price compared to mall prices. Here are some tips when you are joining bazaars:
LOOK FOR A BAZAAR TO JOIN
Search the social media for a bazaar organizer near your location. It should be accessible to you and your team. Get tips from the organizers. They have an idea on what kind of shoppers bazaar usually attract on a specific location.
This way, you can check if your target market will be in that place too. a good organizer gives priority to the success of their vendors. They do this by limiting the products being exhibited. And also, they advertise the bazaar and ask for media coverage.
INQUIRE ABOUT THE RENT
Rents may seem high depending on the location. So you should first consider areas near your location to trim down your travel expenses. you can also share the booth with a friend to further cut your expenses down. The organizers may also offer electrical outlets for an extra charge. For an open air venue rate, it is around 1,500 to 2,000 Php per day. For hotel bazaar rate, it is usually 3,000 to 4,000 Php per day.
REGISTER
Bazaar organizers will require you to drop by at their office. Make sure that you have two copies of the contract given. If you have downloaded a form from an email, print and fill it up. You can also bring your BIR registration. Read your contract carefully. Make the necessary payments as soon as possible.
Most bazaars are on a first come first served basis. When you register early you got to choose the best locations such as near entrances, walkways, and corner booths.
OPTIMIZE YOUR SPACE
During the event, study the floor plan and imagine the traffic flow in your area. Don’t just put a table and lay down all your products. Design a space where the crowd can easily see all your products. Be creative in setting up your booth. It should look interesting and invite.
PROMOTIONS
Make sure that you and your staff have the knowledge about the products that you are selling. Greet and smile at the customers. Once people browse at your product, make the sales pitch and try to make a conversation. Encourage your customers to ask about your products.
