We all want the best for our kids. We want to serve them all the healthy foods we can give. But we also want them to enjoy these healthy foods. And one way to do it is by trying these delicious vegetable fries recipes:
CRISPY EGGPLANT VEGETABLE FRIES
Ingredients:
1 medium sized eggplant, cut into spears ½ inch wide.
1 egg, beaten
½ cup panko bread crumbs
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. cumin
Procedure:
Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F.
Prepare beaten egg in one bowl.
In a separate bowl mix panko bread crumbs, salt, garlic powder, and cumin.
Roll eggplants in the egg and coat with the breading mixture. Place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
ROASTED CARROT VEGETABLE FRIES
Ingredients:
1 piece carrots, cut into ½ inch sticks
2 tsp. olive oil
½ tsp. salt
Procedure:
Grease a 15 by 10 1 inch baking pan.
Place carrots, drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake uncovered at 450 degrees F for 10-12 minutes or until it is crisp-tender.
BAKED GREEN BEAN VEGETABLE FRIES
Ingredients:
4 cups of fresh green beans,
¼ cup parmesan cheese grated
½ tsp. garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Procedure:
Pre-heat oven to 425 Degrees F.
Wash and snip off the ends of green beans.
Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
Place the green beans on the baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
PARSNIP VEGETABLE FRIES
Ingredients:
4 pcs. Medium parsnips
1 tbsp. olive oil
½ tsp. salt
1 tbsp. chopped fresh rosemary
Procedure:
Pre-heat Oven to 425 degrees F.
Peel and cut parsnips into ½ inch wide sticks.
Line the baking sheet with parchment. Place the parsnip sticks and drizzle with oil. Add salt and rosemary.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
BAKE SWEET POTATO VEGETABLE FRIES
Ingredients:
3 pieces medium sized sweet potatoes
2 cups cornstarch
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Procedure:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees f. peel and cut sweet potatoes into sticks. Coat with cornstarch. Drizzle with a little olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Arrange the sticks on a nonstick baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes. then flip the fires and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
